Fundación Alzheimer “Casa Belén” de BC, A.C. nace de la necesidad que tienen las familias bajacalifornianas con enfermos de Alzheimer o algún tipo de demencia, de saber que hay un lugar que ofrece orientación e información, así como apoyo en el cuidado de día a sus pacientes.
El objetivo de la Institución es la atención a personas que padecen la enfermedad, especialmente las que por sus condiciones socioeconómicas y/o físicas se ven impedidas para satisfacer sus requerimientos básicos de subsistencia y desarrollo, promoviendo el estudio, investigación y difusión de la enfermedad, así como la orientación social al paciente y a los miembros de su familia.
